Fatty Acid Composition
The main essential fatty acids of the oil are polyunsaturated linoleic (56.8%), α-linolenic (15.7%), and monounsaturated oleic (12.3%) acids (see figure). Their total content reaches 85%. The content of palmitic acid is about 6%, stearic — 2.7%, γ-linolenic — 3.3%. These 6 acids make up 97% of the triacylglycerols in hemp seed oil.

Omega-9 fatty acids are mainly represented by oleic acid, which makes up about 12%. The content of gondoic acid is nearly 27 times lower. Omega-6 fatty acids are primarily represented by linoleic (56.259%) and γ-linolenic (3.308%) acids. Trace amounts of arachidonic acid (0.011%) are also present. The omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acid ratio in the oil is 3.5 to 1. At this ratio, hemp oil is effectively absorbed by the human body and does not cause side effects. Contains vitamins A, C, D, B1, B2, B6 *
